How Poké Vision handles your data.

This Privacy Policy explains how Poké Vision ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your data when you use our Discord bot companion and web dashboard. We prioritize your privacy and strictly minimize the footprint of data we store. By using Poké Vision, you formally consent to the data practices described below.

1. Data We Collect

To provide our services, we collect and store the following minimal information:

  • User IDs: Your unique Discord ID to link your saved data with your account.
  • Server IDs: Your server's unique ID to save specific configurations (like ping roles).
  • Collection Data: The Pokémon you log into your inventory and your pinned favorites.
  • Shiny Hunts & Quests: The targets and typings you actively elect to be pinged for.
  • User Settings: Your AFK status and the reason provided.

2. How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is strictly utilized to make the bot and dashboard function. This includes:

  • Checking your personal hunt list or quest settings to determine if you should receive a direct mention when a specific Pokémon spawns.
  • Displaying your tracked collections, hunts, and configuration settings to you via the web dashboard.
  • Applying server-wide rules, prefixes, and notification preferences defined by your server administrators.
We do NOT sell, rent, broker, or share your personal data with any third parties under any circumstances.

3. Message Content & Media

Poké Vision requires the "Message Content" intent strictly to read incoming image attachments from Discord to perform image identification. We do not store, log, or save the text contents of user messages. Spawn images are processed temporarily in-memory and immediately discarded once the identification hash is generated.

4. Cookies and Web Storage

When you log into our web dashboard, we use secure HTTP-only cookies to maintain your authentication session with Discord securely. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics trackers.

5. Data Deletion and Control

You have full autonomy over your personal data and can delete it directly through Discord at any time using our built-in commands:

/collection clear — Deletes your entire tracked Pokémon collection./shinyhunt clear — Deletes your active shiny hunt targets.

If you wish for your Discord ID and all associated database records to be completely purged, please open a ticket in our Support Server or use the web dashboard account deletion tools (if available).
