Comprehensive guides and tutorials for setting up and mastering Poké Vision.

Getting Started

Welcome to Poké Vision! This bot is designed to be the ultimate companion for Pokémon enthusiasts on Discord, bringing powerful AI identification and collection management straight to your server.

1. Invite the Bot

Click the Add to Discord button to invite Poké Vision. Ensure it has the necessary permissions to read messages, send messages, and embed links.

2. Find and Identify Spawns

You can use Poké Vision's built-in AI recognition to identify Pokémon from an image. Simply run the /identify command and attach an image. Poké Vision will instantly reply with the Pokémon's name, typing, and rarity stats.

Server Configuration

As a server administrator, you can configure exactly how Poké Vision interacts with your server using the /settings commands.

  • Auto-naming: Use /settings autoname to toggle the automatic detection and naming of Pokémon spawns in your server.
  • Ping Roles: You can assign specific Discord roles to be pinged when certain rarities (e.g., Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast) spawn. Configure this using /settings role type: Legendary role: @LegendaryHunters.
  • Starboard: Want to showcase the rarest spawns? Set up a starboard channel using /settings starboard channel: #rare-spawns, and Poké Vision will forward high-tier spawns there automatically.
  • Prefix: If you prefer text commands over slash commands, change the prefix with /settings prefix.

Collection Manager

Poké Vision acts as your personal Pokédex and inventory manager.

When you catch a Pokémon, add it using /collection add. You can view your entire inventory using /collection list. Have a favourite catch? Use /collection favourite to pin it to your profile.

If you ever want to start fresh, you can use /collection clear (be careful, this cannot be undone!).

Shiny Hunts

Keep track of the shiny Pokémon you are currently hunting!

Use the /shinyhunt add command to add a Pokémon to your hunt list. To view your active hunts, use /shinyhunt view. Once you finally catch that elusive shiny, you can remove it using /shinyhunt remove.

Utilities & Quality of Life

We've built in several utilities to make your Pokémon journey smoother:

  • AFK Mode: Stepping away or going to sleep? Use /afk to temporarily pause all direct messages and pings from the bot. When you return, just run /deafk.
  • Quests: Track and toggle your quest ping settings using the /quest command.
  • Suggestions: Help us improve! Use the /suggest add command to submit ideas for new features directly to the developers.
